Jewelry Care

Jewelry polishing cloths like the sunshine cloth do a great job or a tiny bit of Brasso if metal is really tarnished. Please avoid getting Brasso or Silvo on any stones.
Please don't wear any brass jewelry in the ocean or pool as the chemicals and water may oxidized the metal. Sulphur in the water will darken your Silver.
Store your jewelry in a dry place. Moisture leads to tarnish, the bathroom is not a great place to store your jewels. To slow down the natural tarnishing process, a small ziplock bag is a great way to store your pieces and slow down the tarnishing process.

About Brass

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc which makes it look gold in colour. It will tarnish and patina over time to an aged brown colour. The metal looks just as beautiful this way but if you prefer to have it the shiny gold colour clean it with a polishing cloth or brasso.

The Brass can react to the chemistry in some peoples skin which is harmless but it can turn your skin green. This is the reaction of the oxidizing of the copper on your skin. Not everyone will have this reaction. A clear coat of nail polish can prevent this from happening.

Gold Filled

14k Gold Filled is a mechanically bonded layer of Gold to a base metal such as sterling silver or other base material.

Gold filled is not gold plated. There is 100 times more gold then in the gold plated and is a professional jewellers grade metal.

It will not wear off, crack, chip or turn your skin green.

Silver

All the silver I use is high quality silver. Silver will also tarnish and darken over time. You can shine your silver pieces with a polishing cloth to brighten it up again. Silvo also works for polishing just make sure you don’t get any chemicals on the stones.

Polymer Clay

Store in a clean, dry place. Use of oils, creams, perfumes etc may affect longevity. Do not wear in water. May break if dropped or bent.
To clean polymer clay pieces, rub gently with a soft, wet piece of cloth. If you own a white or light colored pair of earrings and you get makeup stains on them, rubbing alcohol will clean it off. Treat these earrings gently just as you would any other piece of jewelry!
